Greets all! As all of you know I have offered to contribute a drum London Gathering Cause. I am very close to finishing it, and wanted to give you all a sneak peak.
I went with this particular finish as an experiment. I have never painted a drum before and I am fairly pleased with the results so far. (It is a multi-step process!!!!) I think that the look is quite traditional for a Kete drum and will look right at home in any Reggae Studio or Stage....This is before adding a couple of coats of a Clear Gloss to protect from scratching.
Well I am a fan of natural wood colors but I gotta say that looks really well done!!
Now where are *you*??
LOL
Great lovely work Bill!
The multi step process is workin

Thanks Debs! I am also a fan of the natural woods. I will be posting a few new pics of a Maple drum that I am building for Soulfire, a Reggae band from Texas.
