Default Acapella Section - Serious Business

Ok - I know what an acapella is. It is vocals, with no music in the background. So, why is it that when I go to the "ACAPELLA (INCLUDE BPM)" section, out of the the first ten songs that pop up, only one is an acapella, and the one that is does not include the BPM.

Just wondering. If I post a remix of an acapella, I do not put it the acapella section, as it is no longer an acappella!

Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, it is true. Folks just don't seem to get the idea of that section. It seems really simple, but alas maybe not. As I can't sing well I don't use the Acapella Section. I would love for some of the singers to really begin to post up some stuff that did follow the pint of the section that way we could really build some nice stuff out of it.

So true....

Just a suggestion for the massive dem.. I don't know if anyone is out there buying dubplates, but I do occasionally... These things are recorded in split audio. Vocals on the left, riddim on the right. makes runnin a dub a live performance type thing cuz you can play in and out the vocals and toss a few fx on them.. kinda remix them on the fly...

What I am saying is if everyone does the initial mix inna split wav file then there would be no need for indicating the bpm. doubling up the channels fi stereo is easy enough..

I gotta couple dubs from Khari Kill last year that me and my bredren have been remixing the hell out of..

just a thought.. blessngs to all..

I think its because Acapella is the default selection in the genres list when you post a new tune - you got to remember to select the genre and if, like I nearly did a couple of times, you forget then "accapellas is where its gonna end up. I'm not 100% on this but I think you should be able to easily move it to the correct genre by going in to "song modify" and selecting the correct genre.

Yes this is also true. I have done this a time or two on accident.

Yeah I wouldn't assume people are doing this on purpose.
I know full well what an accapela is and have put some tunes in as that by accident a couple of times and then corrected it afterwards.
Nothing you can really do about when people make mistakes like that except maybe have the admin review the acappella section once in a while and send people a friendly note if their tunes are mislabeled.

i find annoying too - can't someone re-classify the non-accapellas in that section once a month or so?
