i think there was more to it than that, there was verbal abuse towards other members & some generally heated and hurtful comments, it wasn't (as far as i know) just about people posting as someone else.

Thats right Meef - As I remember it Rob removed it once at the end of the month when the cost of the bandwidth proved too much and then on a second occasion when the comments themselves got out of hand.

Its a shout box - its for bigging people up - saying good morning or hello - drawing attention to a new tune or one you enjoyed - whatever - basically there are no rules except the usual don't be nasty or offend people. I think we are all adults here and should be able to use the shout box without Rob having to worry about moderation.........

I feel you, David...but since the Shoutbox is a public-access thing, maybe RDW admin would consider a "special" chatbox for interviews and things where members can RSVP ? I dunno. Back to my live-musicians search...

There's an idea.One consideration that came up was,however,
what if everyone asks a question at the time? Or during a reply ,which would cause it to get overlooked? Lot's of stuff to work out,but there will be at least two weeks notice before the interview in question (and hopefuly the many more interviews with many artists in the future) takes place,to allow folks to make plans,as there is an 8-10 hour time differance between U.S. and UK to consider (and , in this case, the UK gathering -a few folks who expressed participating are currently out of town -hope they have a great time!)
PS: If Alionsonny has any ideas on a custom box (I saw a thread a while back where you did) here is the Jamroom manual:

Blessings to all, specially David Pablo;
Somehow you felt i was attacking, or is it me?
Actually i was defending the hate i seen u being victim of... You to ttaly deturpated the context of several of my sentences...About the real meaning?! Ill explain it if you ask me to, but it seemed quite self explainable.
And about the quotes from Haile Selassie: If bredrin trying to show that you done your homework, id repeat it and ask you to go back to the context of the phrase ( H.I.M was talking about the atrocities and suffering in the world caused by power and babylon...Not about strong personalities throwing tantrums in a forum...).
About reggae and Rastas, that sentence spoke of two different genres of reggae listeners, focusing on the GOOD VIBES in it !
Again, i man wanted to show some love, but you seem to emotionally involved in the thread to be objective...Maybe im not clever enough and lost something ! But considering you lost yourself in the subject, makes two !
Again leaving love, boxes of it
Ras Bruno
