last time scotland had a german manager vertie vogts,it was a fookin disaster.anyway, for someone to say they aint interested in making any money from their music, suggests to me that they have enough dosh allready not to bother.a fellow producer i know well came to my place a few weeks ago and suggested i update a few things as my set up is quite old.only 300 quid he said.im like sorry mate no 300 quid to spare,so im stuck with what i have,or maybe if you give me back that 270 quid youve owed me for 6 friggin years ill think about it lol.he quickly changed the subject.

YES ADMIN,i am sure you know exactly how it feels.
i have no problem with the way this site is run, just putting a few suggestions out there.i agree that charging for profiles is a bad idea.
i see sonny is putting his 10 pence in big time again.
man,you really like a row.always worth a read though.
no need to get so personal though.
why don't you all come to the gathering.it's FREE,FREE,FREE,FREE,FREE,FREE.
maybe me and el bib are mad but all the other people who have done gatherings have tried to make it as easy as possible for eveyone and that is our plan too.
it will probably cost us enough to buy a bloody studio but it is gonna be one hell of a weekend.plug,plug.
back to the point,we would all love to make bucks but not at the expense of the music.i will still be making music even if it only gets heard by me.that's just the way it is.

blessings to all.

phats

Manor you have nuff choons worth payin for and you put lotta work into them.
The music business is highly commercial so unless you are making Country and Western or Kiddie Pop Hip Hop, these days, it might be hard to hit it big. But cut out that stuff that your music isn't worth payin for, cos you have a distinctive style and sound which I know many people here enjoy. So quit knockin yerself and thinking you ain't worth it. That's crap.
LOL
You are quality mate and I'm not lying
I have gone and gotten that tattoo already that says "Brads Backin Girl" too
hahahah

If the Roots Radics gotto sew shirts to make a living who are to complain?

The way I look at it is if I make any money from music I don't have to feel bad about reinvesting it in music. And a couple of online sales add up to a piece of secondhand gear in a year.

They sound great Brad, and they are in your style with your vibe. That is most important. You are talkin about technical stuff, but if it ain't got the vibe all the technical stuff won't help.. As Maz once said,, (I think it was him??) "You can't polish a turd" hahah

If you truly feel you would be more self confident with some mastering techniques under your belt, find some way of studying that.
Either by just listening, or by takin a few courses somewhere. You are a quick learner and I am sure you could get a lot out of it and would be good for you too cos i know you love to learn new stuff
Maybe all you blokes in London could get together and form a little "study group" to exchange mixing and composition tips every now and then? A likkle Dubwise Music Guild

Luv
Debs
(who wishes she could be there next month )
