Default Online Real Time Jamming

I have been hearing about a program called Ninjam that allows live jamming over the internet.

Check it out and see if we can't get some stuff together...

interesting concept. The server portion runs on linux so we could have jams.reggaedubwise.com and run this right out of reggaedubwise.
Is there enough interest in this?

Thoughts?

YEah Rob - that would be awesome to be able to run ninjam from here. Everyone would have to play with a bars latency to get over sync problems, but is an awesome idea. You wanna contact Kocha - he's well on the ball about these things.

Let's keep a conversation up on this. I don't know if we'll have the speed to pull it off but I'm open to trying.

Well, speed with Ninjam aint really a problem, as it gives everyone the same MASSIVE ammount of latency, like a whole bar's worth, so that takes out any problems to do with speed - I'm not saying you could run it on a 56k modem, but almost!

We really need Kocha's input on this, as he's a reall expert on such matters, and I know very little. He is still busy and offline I guess as I can't reach him anywhere.

I think we would need to setup a seperate server just to run ninjam.
Reggaedubwise has a very big pipe to stream from. No need to make the streams choppy.
Maybe jams.reggaedubwise.com and just repoint it to its own ninjam server.
