Cool controlling fractals

This video made me think about AS I find these fractals
extremely nice and tasty to mix with a dub video, it just that
it would be so much better if one could make some software
that would allow your music to interfer in the basic algoritm so
that the changes whent quick and in responce to the music in
a very noticeable way, likely by modulating by such as pulse
and frequency-spectrum, it would be so cool

Yeah mon, I am working at it. alionfractal 2.0 is in progress. I just had little time recently. alionfractal 2.0 will contain BIG animation features and many kinds of new fractals, such as Lindenmayer Systems, Henon Attractors, Juliasets, DLA, iterated function systems such as Barnsley Ferns and many more.

I am also working at the routines for a discrete fourier transformation to get frequency-band-values assigned to certain parameters of the animation. For example you can control colors, position in the fractal and even the fractals shape by the frequency bands of a tune and/or its overall loudness. It will even be possible to assign the values of seperate tracks such as bass, percussion etc. to the parameters. So your bass controlls the position inside the fractal, your keyboard line controls the shape and the percussion controlls the colorpalette. Is this nice? Yes it is!

Unfortunately I had to find out, that windows is a crap operating shitstem for highspeed graphics and the object libraries by Borland's C++ are not threadsafe and damn slow.

So I have to program it all from the scratch maybe via directx. All computation stuff will be written in x68-assembler with optimization for the latest CPU gimmicks. I am even in touch with a guy at Intel who helps me to get the best out of my code.

The most interesting thing I am working at related to fractals is a byproduct of alionfractal. I am developing a fractal data compression tool that will make zip and rar look like sh*t. *LOL* I got compression rates for WAV-Audiofiles of 56% This means, the wavefile is NONDESTRUCTIVE compressed to 44% of its original size. The core routines are far away from being stable. So don't expect this wonderweapon to be released soon.

*LOL*

But I am not like that. For a fan of THE GAYLORDS (Google::Robot::index=PLEASE!!!) I make an exception:
Fractal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This should be nuff to give you a starting point: WARNING: I knew lots of people who got lost in that, once they started. I ran around a whole summer in 1988 just seing fractal structures in plants, trees, lakes, rivers, clouds... Some people ended up somewhere in Nepal chanting OMMMMHHHH some think they are fractals themselves and try hard to find out the iteration formulas -> those folks are mostly on the funnyfarm now.

Mutant, I'll put my first version of the alionfractal software back online. I REALLY try to make fractals understandable without knowledge about math, geometry, science... all the stuff that creates big foreheads and constant headache... and that made me the nuttah I am Version 2 will be so intuitive, you'll not need any science but just creativity, a few good tracks and some time at your hands.

Think you may find that there are audio/visual programmes with such modules integrated.
Friend of mine works as a VJ and has some such modules in the system.
Does mostly trance and techno DnB nights though

Then bring them on. I can assure you: There's no software out there that REALLY does the job. Many little modules that do it partially, but nothing that can mess with my idea.
