the old threads from versionist discussing digital hardware, virtual emulations (and the specific settings used on both) to create the classic digital sounds were both an excellent read and great resource. Is that information still available online anywhere? Maybe it could kick off again if not? I found some decent Linndrum LM-2 and oberheim DX drums for exs24 sampler recently. As i'm running Logic Express I can't edit sample programs and i'm reliant on picking up already mapped instruments as opposed to *.wav sets and programing/mapping myself.
