I need to get a laptop pretty soon for a live band i'm involved with. Any good/bad experiences with the budget makes like Acer, Dell etc? I'm looking at an Acer Aspire 5720 (core 2 T7500, 2GB ram, 160gb hd, 15.4") for £349. And any recommendations for soundcards? probably only need a couple of ins/outs |

Laptop is definately Dell, as you can insure quite cheap, and the components are custom made jobs.
I recently got hold of a Firefly as an external card, which I`m very happy with up to now. Dirt cheap too. |
