I did not mean to accuse anyone of attack. That was a casualty of my poor wording. I have changed it.

My sister is a lesbian and agrees with me that the thread was in poor taste. I am trying to actively involve the Jamaican music community in this site daily. I am having some success and would not want these people I respect, seeing people having a laugh at the island's use of "gay" before it was stigmatized by the homosexual community. I went out for coffee with my sister and asked her about it afterwards and she understood it was counterproductive to what I was trying to accomplish. The site wasn't about topics of sexuality.
I made that decision at 630-700 am and hardly in the greatest frame of mind or spirits. Been a very stressful past 2 months with my personal situation. I have tried to spare the community much knowledge of my stress. I took it too personal because I respect the people involved and couldn't understand that "ReggayDubwise and Gay Reggae Versions" was not what I wanted notoriety for or even to be associate with promoting.

This was a terribly unpopular decision with some of my peers. I had to stand by my decision after executing it.

My main point in writing you is that I don't hold any personal grudge and mean no accusations towards anyone. It did seem that way and that is no good. Sonny has already yelled at me for the way that came off this morning. I wrote him back and I'm sure he's drinking a beer pissing about me for a few but we'll talk tomorrow. We have disagreed plenty before.
I used to like the freedom of being like everyone else and just posting and letting loose however I felt. I can't really do it anymore.
Imagine me having a bad day and having a rant and rave that resulted in the failure of the site and it closing? That would be lousy. Loose example but if you can dig it's not productive.
This site is in a very sensitive state. We are doing very well on ratings for potential ad revenue. I would like to see these ads become more and more relevant to the interests of the community. Notice there are some JA labels promoting on banners. This would be great because a great deal has been invested into the sites conception and growth. I would like to be able to do more for the community. Needs $$. We are doing well though and I am confident it will continue.

I hope my writing you helps explain more of how this transpired. Censorship is not really my intention. Notice I let you criticize my actions. It invariably comes off though that I'm down with Chairman Mao.
