Default Some call me Lackatee

Well, i finally managed to sign my ass up to the site. Plenty of familiar faces and the usual suspects, and a lot of you cats already know me and what i do. But for the new guys who dont know me. "Whats crackin foo?!?!"

I plan on uploading alot of the old collabs and tracks from versionist within the next couple weeks, just to archive the memories and let the new folks, or the old folks that lost a hard drive since 2004, get some of them back if they want them. Plus, i think this site is more gear towards that with the way it is setup. All of them have been lost or deleted from versionist due to song limitations and new sites upgrades and whatnot. Now that we have no limits, they deserve a spot in the profile. So, expect a lot of uploads from me. Not trying to clog the network. Just trying to put the archive back in place.

I also just posted a roots track in the collab section that was all recorded analog with a live band, and its there for you to mix and mash up and dub out and whatever else you can think of. Its got great drum tones, and tones in general, and it should inspire some cool mixes to be made.

Good to see all of you again

Hey Meef, Whats goin on bud? Hows the music been treatin ya? Look forward to hearing some of your new tracks. You've always had a solid sound that i really enjoyed.

The studio is pretty much done. I'll have to upload the finished results in my artist profile. Slowing breaking down my gear hear and getting it down there, so i'll be sure to upload a video when thats all in there as well. I just need to get gear insurance before i bring anything down for safe neasure. Too much invested to loose it all now.

Anyway, Ill get the video up so you can take a look.

hey man, music's being a bitch as ever but that's all the more reason to love it eh! Working on an album with a local singer so got lots going on at the mo. How about you, things good with you?

That must be a mission moving all your studio equip...i hate having to do that stuff, millions of cables & sockets everywhere. So have you tested the acoustics in there yet?

Yeah man, i was down on music for awhile there. Sometimes you got it. sometimes you don't.. Just got to roll with the punches. I wasn't feeling inspired, and i wasn't in the mood to mix, create, listen to music at all.. Kinda like i needed a mental flush or something.

Anyway, I'm back on the scene making tracks and mixing up a storm. The studio actually played a big part in not wanting to do anything with music. I was always burnt from doing work down there. Yeah, bringing down all the gear is not going to be a fun experience. But I'm glad for one thing. I knew i saved all the boxes for the gear for a reason. This exact reason!! Nothing like having the factory boxes for stuff when your moving it.

Acoustics are pretty nice in there. There's lots of broadband traps in that joint, so the high end is super tight and clean/crisp. It could use a little low end tweaking, but all in all its very nice there. played with the band for the hell of it and it sounded great at high volumes. Couldn't hear shit outside either. My favorite part.

Videos up on my profile now, you can take a look at it. New track i just posted as well. Lackatee at ReggaeDubwise.com | Reggae Dubwise - Gateway to reggae on the Internet
