Well BMS has been the owner of the Versionist Veteran Association on myspace since the days of Brandon in 2005, so if anyone wants to talk copyright they'd better talk to me too.

I hereby grant official permission for Don Fe to use have exclusive use of the versionist name in Spain

so that's settled then

If anyone wants to dispute my claim they should provide evidence of a full trademark registration which precedes the creation of the group

content is copyright. Names are trademarks. Can not trademark common names but could trademark dot coms if you can show you are the rightful owner. VISS is not a dot com. Feel free to use reggaedubwise which has a nice ring to it.

Just wanted to comment on this.

RDW will not longer be trying to purchase versionist.com and net.
WE made 2 attempts this week to talk in PRIVATE with the current site owner. We increased our offer yesterday to $4000. We did not hear a wimper back from the current site owner so we will take that as a NO.
While we think it would be a great benefit to this site, we can not continue any longer. We have alot happening daily around here and will continue our efforts to build the worlds largest reggae community.

Steve seems to suffer from the so called "Borderline Syndrome", because people with that syndrome allways kick themselves in the own balls.
I'll watch this tragedy go on and maybe Steve sells the stuff one day to me for a hot meal

At the end I just can say that some of the Versionists exactly got what they wanted: They chased away a good owner and they got a bad one. Simply Justice!

I only wanted to archive for the community. Whole thing is a waste of energy and time. A man can't spend one solid year ruining a business than demand he is compensated beyond it's worth. Better off we are this way.
That was history. If you were there you can remember it and probably have some good tracks on your drive. If not ask someone to tell you about it.

What do you call the pre Steve/post Versionist eras? BS and VD?
