It is because there are only two people in the world making them and they have a HUGE waiting list to buy from them. Like a couple of years. That spurs a big aftermarket resale value.

yes.. they even were cutting off all resellers.. you have to go there and play to buy the instrument .. and they were patenting the idea.
probably not far away from forming a religion

It seems that the hang is tuned as such that it would be pretty hard to play any "sour" sounding notes.

It also seems that all the notes in the mode it's tuned in work with each other.

Get what I mean?

Also, the propane tank drum which you can buy for $350 retail sounds almost just as nice.

Bill, I'd be surprised if you haven't already thought about building one. I'll tell you this bro, if you can, I'd buy one

I am sure that with the tools that your business uses you can make one for $25. You can buy a brand new tank that has never been filled at Walmart I think. Check this link for instructions

I even like the propane gas tank more.. more charming
but ok .. pentatonic D probably is too limited.. and not so sure, whether the sound you can hear in the vid are not hangsamples
