Yes it is true! There are tons of Gospel Soca records coming out of Trinidad and other places lately right along with some seriously musically solid "Gospel" Dancehall. Funny that no Roots oriented stuff comes out much from the Gospel crowd.
Alot of the better sounding stuff is coming from Jah Servant. He is working with most of the entire nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
