What's your goal hooking up a desk ? I mean what do you want to do ? Want to mix the seperate tracks on the desk, hook up outboard ?

To be honest for reggae/dub i'd never go for a digital desk. 1st the budget ones (like yamaha) sound like sh*t. Besides that you can't 'play' with a digital desk, no feedbacking thru channels. Scrolling thru menu's before you get your delay/ compressor. Also in a digital desk the FX and dynamics are software based so still plugin biz. Then i just don't see the point in getting a mixer. Same result you'll get to make an in the box mix.

If you really want to dub... you need a good desk. I would go for the older PRO studio consoles. Save up instead of getting budget stuff. In the end you want good gear.

If you get a multi output interface then to a good anaolog desk... then you have an upgrade. So you can hook up outboard FX to the auxes and do you mix by 'hand' like i do.
There's no mixing in my computer. I only use the computer as a multitrack machine.
